This study desk was designed and made as the final part of my design module during my 4th year in GMIT Letterfrack.

The brief of the assignment was to design and make a piece of furniture to be mass produced and addressing a problem in the world, with the theme of connections.

The desk I designed was designed so, to help minimise clutter by utilising a less is more approach to storage, with a simple lidded drawer in the top to store documents and stationary, leaving the work surface free for laptops and other documents.

The connections theme is found by how the desk connects the user with the items they use and work with, the limited storage room forces them to think about what is needed and what is clutter.
